Abstract

The paper presents and analyses the products and research activities of a digital nature carried out on celebrative occasions by means of an overview of the celebrations, initiatives and activities organised by the University of Bologna on the occasion of the 3rd and 4th centenaries of the death, and of the 500th anniversary of the birth of Ulisse Aldrovandi. The result is a critical overview of the evolution of the final products, and of the role of institutions and technologies in the realisation and conservation of Aldrovandi’s digital and digitised cultural heritage.
